The "most
expensive keywords" that have many PPC bids on Adsense
tm with high dollar amounts that advertisers are paying for
usually indicates that a niche or subject or topic has huge
profit potential!
After
all, why would advertisers bid so much to be on top!
Can
a click really be worth 20 or 30 or 40 dollars??? Yes!
The
Most Expensive Keywords With the Highest Average PPC Bids are
Currently in the Insurance Niche (from personal research -
some termes may not have been included in my research so there
are others that may be more expensive)

online auto insurance quotes $37.07 14800

instant auto insurance quote $33.77 6600
compare auto insurance $33.45 22200
california auto insurance quote $33.36 4400
online homeowners insurance quotes $33.27 1000
auto insurance company online $33.10 2900
instant car insurance quote $32.79 8100
The most expensive keyword phrases that have high bid amounts
can make you a ton of money!
Even in competitive NICHES! YES! This is true!
Don't
focus your efforts on just the long tail keywords that are
EASY to rank on top for - go after the most expensive words
too!
Now
let's think about this - there is definitely good money to
be made by going after 'long tail keywords with low competition" BUT
there is also excellent money waiting for you by going after "VERY
COMPETITIVE KEYWORDS" where many people are fighting to
get on the front page of Google!
While
it can be helpful for a beginner to go after "low
competition" keyword phrases, it does not mean that anyone
should neglect going after some big money keywords too! In fact
I suggest a mix of both approaches!
Sure
- it's easier to rank top 10 for a longer tail phrase like: "free
health insurance quotes" than trying to rank top 10 for
an ultra competitive phrase like: "health insurance" but
they both can make you some good money! The TOUGHEST KEYWORD
PHRASES such as "health insurance" and "web hosting" are
very competitive and will TAKE MUCH LONGER to rank on top for.
It's not impossible. It can be done BUT with a lot of effort
and time! Sure, not as quickly or easily as getting on the front
page for a less competitive term, BUT that does not mean going
after HIGH BID ultra competitive keywords can't bring you boat
loads of money! They can! BOTH long tail and ultra expensive
competitive keywords can make you money when you build search
engine optimized web pages (SEO)!
Go after both!
Yes, the longer tail will be easier to get rankings for and
it will make you lots of money, but look at it this way - being
on page 1 for the longer tail may NOT get you as much traffic
as being on page 2 or 3 of Google or even on page 10 for the
ultra competitive phrase.
It's
how much traffic you get that is important - not where you
rank for a keyword phrase! In the above example according to
Wordtracker "free health insurance quotes" gets
39 queries a day and "health insurance" gets 4,456.
The only way to get a lot of traffic from 39 queries a day is
to be TOP TEN and preferably NUMBER ONE!
But I guarantee you that being on page 2 or 3 for the term that
gets 4,456 a day compared to 39 will also make you TONS OF MONEY!
And it is much easier to rank on page 5 or 10 than it is on number
one - regardless of the keyword phrase! Try to get this concept
under your belt... for some keywords you will get TONS of traffic
even if you are NOT on page 1!!!
YES IT'S TRUE!
SOMETIMES you can still make a ton of money EVEN WHEN YOU ARE
NOT in the TOP 10 or 20!
For those big $$$ keywords with POOR KEI, sometimes being in
the top 100 is good enough to make lots of cash and get tons
of traffic! And don't forget - it's NOT only ONE keyword PHRASE
your page is going to attract people with - each page will bring
traffic for LOTS OF keywords and WORD COMBINATIONS!!!
So if you can - go after some tough ultra competitive keywords
too - not just the easy ones! The super competitive keywords
might make you a lot of money - JUST REMEMBER though - it will
take longer to see the money - than if you go after slam dunk
easy to rank phrases - those long tail high KEI words might rank
on top the next day or within a week with only a link or two
pointing at it - so try to balance the 2 approaches - go after
all kinds of keywords - EASY ONES and HARD ONES - and then watch
to see WHERE THE MONEY COMES FROM.
That
is the best kind of research for you. See what works and use
that to do more of the same. You might be surprised how much
traffic you'll get from being in position 51 or 91 on Google
with the right keywords!
